4. Don't neglect your natural hair- Make sure when shampooing/conditioning the hair extensions that you also shampoo and condition your own natural hair. If possible, depending on your hair extension method, when detangling your hair extensions also be sure to comb through your natural hair to, so your hair does not tangle and matt.
